Dear fans,

As you probably all know, Tetsuya Komuro and two other people were arrested on 4 November 2008 on suspicion of defrauding a company president. In 2006, TK approached the company president and proposed him to purchase the rights to his 806 songs for ¥1,000,000,000. His ex-wife Asami Yoshida claiming her divorce settlement of more than ¥700,000,000, TK asked for and obtained an anticipated payment of ¥500,000,000 from the company president. However, the copyright of the 806 songs did actually not belong to him.

The company president first start an action before a civil court and court sentenced TK to pay back ¥600,000,000 to the company president. However TK had already used that money in-between to reimburse other debts and was therefore not able to repay this sum. The company president therefore brought the case to a penal court.

During the mid-1990s, TK was regarded as one of the richest men in Japan on sales of the more than 170 million CDs he produced, and owned Ferraris, luxury cruisers and villas in Hawaii, Bali and Malibu. "As bank passbooks show only up to 10 digits, I've lost track of my money", the tabloid Nikkan Sports once quoted him as saying in an interview. According to various sources, TK was nearly ruined; a joint venture set up in Hong Kong with News Corp., led by media magnate Rupert Murdoch, reportedly left Komuro with losses of seven billion yen. These are probably the reasons why he wrote a new album for Keiko and was about to relaunch Globe's career with cover version of TM Network's "Get Wild" and "Self-Control".

Komuro has admitted wrongdoing to prosecutors, according to the Jiji Press news agency. "It's true. I'm very sorry and there is nothing that excuses me", he was quoted as saying. Prosecutors refused to comment on the case.

As a reaction to this news, AVEX has decided to cancel all scheduled CD release of globe while Sony took the same decision with regard to TM Network. Japan's radio stations and UGA karaoke places from the company USEN have decided to ban all songs produced by him.

Here is the official reaction of globe's 2 other members, Keiko and Marc Panther:

Keiko: "A lot of things were said during the last hours and I would like to apologize for these things. I would never have imagined that such a situation could really happen and I am now deeply ashamed. I also only discovered the truth very recently, not later than yesterday. This will change our existence forever but we have decided to fight together."

Marc Panther : "This shocking news has made me very sad. In the eyes of the fans who had been waiting for globe's come-back for a long time, there now excuse to what happened. However I still consider TK as a great musician and a genius producer. I'm convinced that we will be soon back on stage together."

For the time being, I have decided to keep maintaining the TK infosite.
